Local Artisan Shop Hosts Event to Benefit Q90FM & Operation Christmas Child
SHOP LOCAL MOB: CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Thursday, July 14, 3pm – 7pm
Kimberly, Wisconsin (Fox Valley) July 12, 2016 – Shop Local is collaborating with fellow SL member Creative Juices Artisan Shoppe to host a Shop Local Mob in Kimberly. The Shop Local Mob is a recent initiative, having grown from the desire to show support for locally owned businesses. A Shop Local Mob is a group of people who assemble during the event and spend $10-$20 in cash at that local business!
“It’s an infusion of cash into a small business,” says Emmie Rugotska, Founder of Shop Local. “Our goal is to create fun events and offer experiences that our community can come together to support our neighbors!”
“I love celebrating community and collaboration, which is why I’m so excited for this event!,” said Alissa Hendrickson, owner of Creative Juices Artisan Shoppe. “At Creative Juices, we are a team of local artists, and none of this would be possible with out each one of us that bring our unique artistic styles to this shoppe and then share it with our families, friends & fans! We are all better by working together the way a community should be and want to say thank you to our patrons for being so supportive of our unique works and what makes our shop different.”
Not only is this event to support a local business, numerous local artists and a food truck, but also charities! Q90FM will have a representative there doing a live remote at the event from 3 to 5. “We are a sponsor of Q90FM because we believe in the message of hope and encouragement that they bring to their listeners daily,” says Hendrickson. For Operation Christmas Child, they will also have materials for patrons to fill shoe boxes for children in need around the world. Donors’ generosity will be rewarded with a “Creative cash” certificate good toward future purchases at Creative Juices.
Shop Local is planning a series of Mob events, one each week, leading up to Small Business Saturday and the Holiday Shopping season. To stay tuned for events you can follow our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/
