FOX RIVER BREWING CO. SERVES BEER IN HONOR OSHKOSH DEFENSE’S WIN
FRBC Offers $1 Off Pints of Bullet Proof Porter To Oshkosh Corporation Staff
OSHKOSH, Wis., Dec. 3, 2015 – Fox River Brewing Co. is serving Bullet Proof Blackberry Porter at its Appleton and Oshkosh locations to celebrate Oshkosh Defense LLC‘s (an Oshkosh Corporation company) Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) contract win with the U.S. Army in August.
Fox River Brewing Co. is offering $1 off pints of Bullet Proof beer to all Oshkosh Corporation employees with a work ID badge while supplies last. The offer is not valid during happy hour.
The Supple Restaurant Group wanted to brew a beer to commemorate the men and women of Oshkosh Defense who are working or have worked long hours on the JLTV contract.
“We chose the name Bullet Proof to show the strength of the Oshkosh Defense staff who fought off competition and secured the contract,” said Fox River Brewing Co. brewmaster Kevin Bowen. “It is also to share our congratulations to those building these additional military vehicles for our troops overseas.”
Bullet Proof is a medium-bodied, chocolatey robust porter with a hint of blackberry. Fox River Brewing Co. owner Jay Supple said the darkness of the brew represents the smokiness of the battlefield, complemented with the dark fruitful flavors of a battle won.
“We raise toast to all of the staff at Oshkosh Corporation to show our appreciation for all of your hard work,” Supple said.

The Supple Restaurant Group opened Fox River Brewing Co. in 1995 alongside the former Fratellos Waterfront Restaurant in Oshkosh.
