Habitat ReStore

Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, Inc. (HFHO) is a local affiliate
of Habitat for Humanity International. HFHO serves families in
the Greater Oshkosh area.

HFHO’s mission is to build simple, decent, affordable housing for low-income families. We built our first home in 1990 and since then have built 28 homes in the Oshkosh Area for families in need. In addition, we have also helped build homes internationally through our tithe program with Kyrgyzstan, Haiti, and Myanmar.

The ReStore sells new and gently used building materials, furniture and appliances. The ReStore is open to the general public with all of the proceeds used to support Habitat Build and NRI Projects.

Deconstruction is a program that we go to homes or businesses and harvest items that can be sold in the ReStore
Donations are received at the ReStore until 5pm T-F, 4pm Sat, and 3pm Sun or by the ReStore pickup crew by appointment.

Economic Impact 2013-2014
-They’ve built 28 homes to date.
-We are the number two new home builder in Oshkosh over the past few years based off of new homebuilding permits.
-Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh has also helped 32 families internationally through our tithe program in Kyrgyzstan, Haiti, and most recently in Myanmar.

-This year, Habitat will complete one rehabilitation and one new home this year.
-The projects that are currently underway include houses on 738 Oak St. and 1635 Algoma Blvd.

All items must be clean smoke free and washed, no stains, tears, animal hair, missing buttons or snaps. Only current seasons accepted. We do not pay up front for any items and do not accept walk ins.You must call in advance to make an appointment. Currently we are unable to accept any new consigners! Check back at a later date! We also carry handmade items!!

St Vincent De Paul Society

Saint Vincent de Paul is a non-profit organization that is geared towards helping those most in need in the community. Our particular store/organization helps those in the Winnebago County area. We have a dedicated team of employees and volunteers (mostly volunteers!), who help us organize, sort, price, and resell donated items. Our store carries a little bit of everything- furniture, clothing, household items- and many of these items are given to those in our community who may not have the means to afford what they need for themselves and their families. In our previous fiscal year (October 1, 2013- September 30, 2014), $97,339 worth of furniture, clothing, and household items was donated to those in need in Winnebago County. Our organization also helps those in need with emergency rental or utility assistance.

The furniture and thrift store is also a place where individuals can complete required community service hours, as well as volunteer for five hours to earn a monthly bus pass!
