Do you want to eat Healthier?
Consider signing up for a CSA share at The Green Tomato. What is a CSA share, you ask. CSA stands for Community Support Agriculture and is a program where you purchase a share from a local farm and in return you receive a weekly offering of produce throughout the growing season. Olden Produce offers three different produce shares. A half share, which is geared toward smaller households or lighter veggie eaters (2 to 3 people). A full share, which is geared toward larger households (4 to 5 people).
The final option is an Every Other Week share which is good for those who are busier in the summer or those wanting even more and adding it to one of the standard shares. In addition to this shares there are many add-on options, such as honey, maple syrup, mushrooms, fruit, eggs and cheese. All of which are grown or produced locally. Not sure how you would use all of the veggies, each week a newsletter comes to give you recipes and storage techniques to help you make sure your share gets utilized and not wasted. So if you want to make an effort to eat better, consider a CSA share this year. Not only are you getting great, local food your support local farms.
