Prepare yourself for some delicious culinary delights, mouthwatering treats and an evening of fun as 30 of the area’s most popular restaurants display their culinary talents during FirstMerit Bank Taste on Broadway. The 17th annual event takes place August 7, from 5 to 11 p.m. on Broadway Street in Downtown Green Bay.
“We have a great lineup of restaurants to celebrate our 17th anniversary of FirstMerit BankTaste on Broadway” said Christopher Naumann, executive director for On Broadway, Inc. “The food and desserts are sure to tempt you and there are plenty of great refreshments for all ages.”

During the event, the featured restaurants will have their booths lined along Broadway, between Dousman and Walnut Streets. Tokens are used to purchase sample appetizers, main dishes, desserts, wine, beer, and other refreshments from 5 to 9 p.m.
In addition to the restaurants, the event will feature live music on two stages throughout the evening. Featured acts include:
South Stage (located near the corner of Broadway and Walnut)
5 to 9 p.m. – The Cougars
Main Stage (located in Beernsten’s Candies parking lot)
5 to 8 p.m. – John Kelley and The Fusion Xpress Orchestra
8 to 11 p.m. – Big Mouth and The Power Tool Horns
Tokens can be now purchased at the On Broadway, Inc. office located at 117 S. Chestnut Street or at the following FirstMerit Bank locations:

Advance token sales end Wednesday, July 31st. Tokens will then be available for purchase at the event.
“We encourage everyone to join the fun and experience the atmosphere of downtown Green Bay,” said Naumann. “I can’t think of a better opportunity to sample excellent food from a variety of different restaurants in the greater Green Bay area. And who knows, you may discover your new favorite place to dine out.”
The success of this event is dependent on the support of the FirstMerit Bank, the community and the volunteers that make it happen. On Broadway, Inc., is now looking for volunteers to help make FirstMerit Bank Taste on Broadway, a seamless event.
We are looking for set-up helpers, beverage booth operators, token sellers, and more. Shifts are 3-4 hours each, and vary from noon to midnight Thursday August 1st . Proceeds will go to On Broadway, Inc. to support revitalization efforts in the Broadway district of downtown Green Bay.
