All the fun things about fall wrapped up in one beautiful hand wood burned piece. This item is an example of subway art which originated in New York City’s subway transportation system in the early 1900’s made with stunning mosaics. Residents used the art to identify each subway stop. The art was removed in the 1950’s but has since begun a resurgence.

We’d like to introduce ourselves…Katie & Erik. We are the proud owners of R Little Homestead, a small business in a small town. Here’s a little more:
Katie: Hi, I’m mainly the creator and artist. I am a retired teacher and I love putting my time into creating something special for each of my customers. I especially enjoy working with them to create custom pieces that has a unique and special look just for them.
Erik: I am a proud US Army Veteran and the muscle of the company. I give Katie a canvas by cutting, sanding, planing, whatever needs to be done to the wood essentially, in order to give her the surface to create your piece. I enjoy collaborating with Katie and we bounce ideas off one another regularly.
